The inauguration is closing in, and however you feel about the election and its results, one thing I firmly believe is that it’s time to move on. The next four years will be interesting, to say the least, and being an advocate for protecting my own mental health means, at least for me, less news and more value-based content.
Overall, it either makes me smile or think and in general, it makes me a better version of myself.
So, with all of that said, here are the YouTube channels I am watching right now!
Bon Appetit
There are so many fun videos on this channel but my favorite is the Andre Mack playlist. Andre is a sommelier but not the usual stuffy, boring guy with his nose in the air. Andre Mack is cool. His videos include trying wine from all 50 states and rating them to suggestions on wine and fast food pairings. There are days when I just want something fun on in the background while working or zoning out, Andre Mack is perfect. Spoiler Alert: Nothing bad happens on this channel. Every time you watch it you will feel really good about life. Promise.
Check out the playlist World of Wine with Andre Mack and this episode where he breaks down all the Trader Joe’s wine!
Trek Trendy
Will, the creator of this channel, travels to all the places we want to but probably can’t afford to. His sweet parents and girlfriend join him from time to time and he is addicted to Diet Coke. Oh and he is British. His honesty is refreshing and entertaining. Each trip is broken down to show how much it would cost and his genuine outlook is not annoying like other travel channels can be. Some of my favorite episodes are on cruise ships. He is brutal when it comes to rating the food and loves caviar and champagne. Some of us are old enough to remember the tagline “Cavier Dreams and Champagne Wishes”, you know who you are.
Chris Corsini
Obsessed is the only word for this channel. All of his content is brilliant and refreshing: free tarot card readings monthly, pay-what-you-can workshops for full moon, new moon, cord cutting. His personality is amazing, “Bitch if you can afford Starbucks every day you can make a donation to watch the workshop.” It doesn’t get any more real than that.
At the end of each month I find myself anxiously waiting for my new tarot card reading. On the worst day he makes me smile and sometimes laugh out loud. Whether he realizes it or not, this guy has made my day on several occasions. Be sure to check out his website and Instagram too.
